My report for last year was pretty good

I had to line up today to go in, think Daddy was a bit emotional again, tsch! My report for last year was pretty good, think Mummy and Daddy were pleased. I got a couple of Early Learning Grades (9/9, yay! - Specialist subject PE!) and mostly 7 or 8 out of 9 for everything else. We had Gran over for her, er, well, a significant birthday party last year, and invited some people down, including Jackie and Phil from Leicester, Great Uncle Alan and cousins Richard and Peter. It was great to see everyone, and we played with Grace and Lucie all day as well. Just after that, it was Newlands Motor Company's 10th birthday, so Uncle Andy had it round at his house (Great bouncy castle - Zack).

Then, we had Daddy's cousin Angela come over to visit with her boyfriend Cameron. Don't think Daddy had ever met her before, as her Mummy and Daddy moved to New Zealand when Daddy was tiny. I didn't get a lead role, but felt that I gave off a certain aura and brought a level of professionalism to the stage. To prepare us for Christmas, Daddy got us tickets to Santas Grotto at Harrods. We had a really fun day going up on the train, catching buses and seeing the decorations in London. Hated every minute of the actual grotto (Me too - Zack) but the pizza afterwards was fab. On Christmas day, everyone came down to us - Gran and Grandad, Gargee and Daddad, Andy and Ali (more on them in a minute). We played loads of games, and Daddy bought me and Zack a scalextric set. Unfortunately we were a little too young, but everyone else seemed to get the hang of it, and Gran and Gargee had a very close race! Mummy's cousin Stew had baby twins, Lilly and little Molly.

They came a bit early, and Molly was a bit weeny, but we visited them and I held them both, I felt very big. It was their Christening later in the year, big Molly got a bit tipsy! Also, Auntie Lisa had a baby boy, bit of a brute called Matthew, weighing in around the two stone mark. I went over with Mummy to see them, Mummy didn't take Daddy incase he got clucky, whatever that means. Other things, well, we went with Polly and her Mummy and Daddy to see the Princess and the Pea at the Polka theatre, and Zack has gone to his first proper cinema, to see Wall-E (And to eat popcorn - Zack). It was Gargee and Daddad's ruby wedding a few weeks ago. Also, we all went to Grenoble for a week to visit cousin Alison and Ken, who were celebrating their 40th birthdays.

It was fancy dress, so we all wore old fashioned clothes, hee hee, Daddy did look a wally! We stayed there and went travelling, going to Lyon and Alp D'Huez for day trips. Coming home, Daddy had a slight moment or two driving to Geneva, but to be fair, it is very confusing as it covers two countries, and cousin Ken said it would be hard and he's a neutron scatterer, and none of tghe signs were in english. Zack, did Daddy have any more excuses? (Yes, tonnes, but don't list them here, we'll be here for ever - Zack). We've been to Charis and Jamies wedding, for which I was bridesmaid. I looked great, and took my role very seriously. We'd been to see them in Bath a few months before, so I saw the church and knew what to do. On the wedding weekend, we went up the day before to do a rehearsal, and on the day, Mummy took me to Charis's house and I got taken to the church in a nice big car. During the day I had to make sure I appeared in every photo that Charis was in, just so that she didn't feel lonely. He's been going out with Ali for about a year, and proposed to her as she was hanging out the washing. Daddy is dead chuffed, Uncle Andy asked him to be best man! Think Daddy then started getting quite worried about the speech and went out to buy a load of books on quotes. He's now organising a stag do in France for a week's skiing, think that this is the only way he can get away with it without Mummy getting annoyed! There was another wedding recently, cousin Nick got married to Nicole up in Stafford. We all stayed in a barn with cousins and uncles/aunts. The wedding was great fun, I danced loads, but Zack had to go home a bit early (I was sleepy - Zack). I helpd to make a mess of Nick's car! We stayed up there for a week, Daddy bought a stunt kit and everyone played with that. Mummy and Daddy and the cousins all went to Alton Towers, Daddy looked a bit ill when he returned! Oh, nearly forgot, we went to our first civil ceremony for the marriage of Pam and Isobel. I was a bit confused at first, but it was a really nice occasion! So we've not really had a full summer holiday as we've been away for weeks and long weekends. We went to Menorca in May, back to the same place we visited last year, we had such fun in the sand. The weather wasn't too good, but we had a great time. Daddy took a day off and he and I went to London Zoo to see the lions and monkeys. Best part of the day was a ride on the double decker bus!

Then one weekend was taken up with the London to Brighton bike ride, which Mummy did again. There was a bigger team this year, with Andy, Stew, Gem, Nick, Molly, Auntie Helen and Polly's mummy Val all doing it. We met up with Polly and her Daddy in the morning and went on rides on the pier, before walking down to meet them at the finish line. It bends a lot when Daddy is bouncing, and he's had to warn the neighbours because he goes very high! We play on it most eveninings when Daddy gets back from work! It's good at getting you fit, I noticed the difference during my sports day! Mummy helped out, we did hockey, egg and spoon, running and loads of other things.

One of the main reasons why this has not been updated for a while is that Daddy has a new computer to play with, and he's been creating videos of what we've been doing this year. Look out if you visit, he may end up boring you with footage! Zack is now nearly toilet trained, it started when he turned two, so has taken a while, he sometimes forgets, but he's nearly there. Zack turned into a teenager overnight on his second birthday. He's always been pretty mild mannered, but just lately he gets the right hump at the slightest thing, and has started to fight back. Still can't properly talk, we get the odd grunt. Latest setback is with his sleep. Daddy had taken the cot sides down to create a cot bed. There was a barrier to protect him from tumbling out (which he'd developed a knack of wedging himself between it and the bed somehow), but it means he can get out of bed. The main reason to take the cot apart was to stop him rattling the sides and screaming. Now it just means that he can come into Mummy and Daddy's room at 4:32am every day and scream in their ears directly. And that's when he's gone to sleep in the first place. 2 hours on one Sunday night of continual getting up and coming down the stairs. Daddy was looking to buy a massive velcro sleep suit for him and stick him to the wall. Think Daddy is a bit annoyed with him at the moment though, as Zack has been getting up really early. Zack is now back in a cot bed with the sides on so he can't get out! He used to be coming into my room as well at 4 in the morning, he had a shock one morning, Daddy was sleeping in my room as he had been out with friends the night before, Mummy didn't want him snoring! Actually, not sure who was more shocked!Right, that's it, just finish off with a couple of comments I've made recently - firstly I thought Jesus died because of having splinters, and finally when Daddy and I were in Pizza Express after visiting the Zoo, I told him we had to wait until we were given the ticket to leave. Daddy finally worked out that I meant the bill! from:http://avondjurken.expertpagina.nl/
