Wacky Costumes For Kids

Kids love to play pretend. Isn't it nice to let your kids enjoy the moment with wacky costumes? Your kids will love you more for it. It only shows that you are willing to support them. Some parents even play pretend with their children. It's one way of making their bond stronger.

Kids love wacky costumes. We can't deny that. Whatever they see on television that attracts their attention is something that they want to be for one moment. Kids think wacky costumes are so cool so they usually ask their parents to help them dress up like that. There are certain characters that most kids want to bring into life.

There are also kids who prefer to dress up like spongebob squarepants, patrick star or squidward because they're so cute. These wacky costumes are so fun to wear and are popular just like the television series where they originally came from.

Next in line are the characters from nursery rhymes and children's fairy tales. There are just so many wacky costumes from these. Little Red Riding Hood is popular among the girls. Humpty Dumpty and Puss and Boots are also good choices for wacky costumes.

Most little girls want to be one of the Disney Princesses at one point of their lives. They could choose among Snow White, Cinderella, Briar Rose, Ariel, Belle and Jasmine! The boys will have to settle with the "prince" outfit or they could choose wacky costumes like the "beast" or the "mermen" from The Little Mermaid.

There are just so many wacky costumes to choose from and they are always fun to wear. Aside from the above-mentioned wacky costumes, let's not forget that science-fiction characters are also famous among children of all ages. Not only that, the Harry Potter fever is still warm and many children love him. See? Kids just love to wear wacky costumes because they are cool and fun! from:http://avondjurken2013.mysites.nl

My report for last year was pretty good

I had to line up today to go in, think Daddy was a bit emotional again, tsch! My report for last year was pretty good, think Mummy and Daddy were pleased. I got a couple of Early Learning Grades (9/9, yay! - Specialist subject PE!) and mostly 7 or 8 out of 9 for everything else. We had Gran over for her, er, well, a significant birthday party last year, and invited some people down, including Jackie and Phil from Leicester, Great Uncle Alan and cousins Richard and Peter. It was great to see everyone, and we played with Grace and Lucie all day as well. Just after that, it was Newlands Motor Company's 10th birthday, so Uncle Andy had it round at his house (Great bouncy castle - Zack).

Then, we had Daddy's cousin Angela come over to visit with her boyfriend Cameron. Don't think Daddy had ever met her before, as her Mummy and Daddy moved to New Zealand when Daddy was tiny. I didn't get a lead role, but felt that I gave off a certain aura and brought a level of professionalism to the stage. To prepare us for Christmas, Daddy got us tickets to Santas Grotto at Harrods. We had a really fun day going up on the train, catching buses and seeing the decorations in London. Hated every minute of the actual grotto (Me too - Zack) but the pizza afterwards was fab. On Christmas day, everyone came down to us - Gran and Grandad, Gargee and Daddad, Andy and Ali (more on them in a minute). We played loads of games, and Daddy bought me and Zack a scalextric set. Unfortunately we were a little too young, but everyone else seemed to get the hang of it, and Gran and Gargee had a very close race! Mummy's cousin Stew had baby twins, Lilly and little Molly.

They came a bit early, and Molly was a bit weeny, but we visited them and I held them both, I felt very big. It was their Christening later in the year, big Molly got a bit tipsy! Also, Auntie Lisa had a baby boy, bit of a brute called Matthew, weighing in around the two stone mark. I went over with Mummy to see them, Mummy didn't take Daddy incase he got clucky, whatever that means. Other things, well, we went with Polly and her Mummy and Daddy to see the Princess and the Pea at the Polka theatre, and Zack has gone to his first proper cinema, to see Wall-E (And to eat popcorn - Zack). It was Gargee and Daddad's ruby wedding a few weeks ago. Also, we all went to Grenoble for a week to visit cousin Alison and Ken, who were celebrating their 40th birthdays.

It was fancy dress, so we all wore old fashioned clothes, hee hee, Daddy did look a wally! We stayed there and went travelling, going to Lyon and Alp D'Huez for day trips. Coming home, Daddy had a slight moment or two driving to Geneva, but to be fair, it is very confusing as it covers two countries, and cousin Ken said it would be hard and he's a neutron scatterer, and none of tghe signs were in english. Zack, did Daddy have any more excuses? (Yes, tonnes, but don't list them here, we'll be here for ever - Zack). We've been to Charis and Jamies wedding, for which I was bridesmaid. I looked great, and took my role very seriously. We'd been to see them in Bath a few months before, so I saw the church and knew what to do. On the wedding weekend, we went up the day before to do a rehearsal, and on the day, Mummy took me to Charis's house and I got taken to the church in a nice big car. During the day I had to make sure I appeared in every photo that Charis was in, just so that she didn't feel lonely. He's been going out with Ali for about a year, and proposed to her as she was hanging out the washing. Daddy is dead chuffed, Uncle Andy asked him to be best man! Think Daddy then started getting quite worried about the speech and went out to buy a load of books on quotes. He's now organising a stag do in France for a week's skiing, think that this is the only way he can get away with it without Mummy getting annoyed! There was another wedding recently, cousin Nick got married to Nicole up in Stafford. We all stayed in a barn with cousins and uncles/aunts. The wedding was great fun, I danced loads, but Zack had to go home a bit early (I was sleepy - Zack). I helpd to make a mess of Nick's car! We stayed up there for a week, Daddy bought a stunt kit and everyone played with that. Mummy and Daddy and the cousins all went to Alton Towers, Daddy looked a bit ill when he returned! Oh, nearly forgot, we went to our first civil ceremony for the marriage of Pam and Isobel. I was a bit confused at first, but it was a really nice occasion! So we've not really had a full summer holiday as we've been away for weeks and long weekends. We went to Menorca in May, back to the same place we visited last year, we had such fun in the sand. The weather wasn't too good, but we had a great time. Daddy took a day off and he and I went to London Zoo to see the lions and monkeys. Best part of the day was a ride on the double decker bus!

Then one weekend was taken up with the London to Brighton bike ride, which Mummy did again. There was a bigger team this year, with Andy, Stew, Gem, Nick, Molly, Auntie Helen and Polly's mummy Val all doing it. We met up with Polly and her Daddy in the morning and went on rides on the pier, before walking down to meet them at the finish line. It bends a lot when Daddy is bouncing, and he's had to warn the neighbours because he goes very high! We play on it most eveninings when Daddy gets back from work! It's good at getting you fit, I noticed the difference during my sports day! Mummy helped out, we did hockey, egg and spoon, running and loads of other things.

One of the main reasons why this has not been updated for a while is that Daddy has a new computer to play with, and he's been creating videos of what we've been doing this year. Look out if you visit, he may end up boring you with footage! Zack is now nearly toilet trained, it started when he turned two, so has taken a while, he sometimes forgets, but he's nearly there. Zack turned into a teenager overnight on his second birthday. He's always been pretty mild mannered, but just lately he gets the right hump at the slightest thing, and has started to fight back. Still can't properly talk, we get the odd grunt. Latest setback is with his sleep. Daddy had taken the cot sides down to create a cot bed. There was a barrier to protect him from tumbling out (which he'd developed a knack of wedging himself between it and the bed somehow), but it means he can get out of bed. The main reason to take the cot apart was to stop him rattling the sides and screaming. Now it just means that he can come into Mummy and Daddy's room at 4:32am every day and scream in their ears directly. And that's when he's gone to sleep in the first place. 2 hours on one Sunday night of continual getting up and coming down the stairs. Daddy was looking to buy a massive velcro sleep suit for him and stick him to the wall. Think Daddy is a bit annoyed with him at the moment though, as Zack has been getting up really early. Zack is now back in a cot bed with the sides on so he can't get out! He used to be coming into my room as well at 4 in the morning, he had a shock one morning, Daddy was sleeping in my room as he had been out with friends the night before, Mummy didn't want him snoring! Actually, not sure who was more shocked!Right, that's it, just finish off with a couple of comments I've made recently - firstly I thought Jesus died because of having splinters, and finally when Daddy and I were in Pizza Express after visiting the Zoo, I told him we had to wait until we were given the ticket to leave. Daddy finally worked out that I meant the bill! from:http://avondjurken.expertpagina.nl/

WAGs score big in fashion stakes at the 2010 Allan Border medal

Haley Bracken, wife of quick bowler Nathan, stole the show, but not for the right reasons, in a glittering - and very revealing gown that looks like it came from the wardrobe of Kath 'n Kim.

It came close to the horrific outfit Geoffrey Edelstein's wife Brynne Gordon wore to the Brownlow Medals earlier this year.

Lara Bingle, on the other hand, was a picture of sartorial elegance in her neck-plunging all-white Michelle Jank dress, completed by Chanel body tattoos, fresh off the overseas catwalks. Her fiance Michael Clarke led the men's fashion stakes in a Prada dinner suit.

And there were no cricket whites in sight at Melbourne's Crown Casino when fast bowler Mitchell Johnson and girlfriend Jessica Bratich stepped out in black, Jessica in a Ruth Tarvydas gown.

Athlete Tamsyn Lewis swapped the track for the red carpet too, accompanying wicketkeeper boyfriend Graham Manou. Skipper Ricky Ponting was overshadowed by his wife Rianna, who wore a shimmering Nicola Finetti dress that looked more like a wedding gown. from:http://www.guestbook4you.be/gb/gb.php?id=4536

Wahabi Dress Code For Little Girls

An interesting item in today Arab News: in certain parts of Saudi Arabia, schools are now forcing pre-pubescent girls to dress in a full black cloak, covering not just their hair, but their hands and faces.

Despite the fact that in even the most draconian interpretation of Islamic code, female children are not required to cover themselves in such a way, certain Saudi schools are strictly enforcing the new rules.

MUSHAYT: When an eight- or ten-year-old girl is told that she should cover her entire body from head to toe " as an adult woman is supposed to do " then immediately the child TMs mother asks why.

This is exactly what is happening in the southern province of Asir where school regulations stipulate that pre-pubescent girls should dress in such a way that no part of their body, including head and face, is visible.

A child who dares to violate the new dress code faces severe punishment, including a public scolding and deductions from her marks.

This has put parents in a real dilemma. Though Islam has strict dress regulations for women, they are only applied after girls reach puberty.

Umm Abrar, whose daughter is in Grade 4 at a primary school, went out shopping for a small abaya that would meet the school specifications. The scarf in her school should be worn in such a way that neither her face nor her hair is visible, allowing only her eyes to be seen.

œUntil last year, the head scarf for little girls did not mean covering heads and faces. Only girls who had reached puberty needed to cover their faces. But this year the school ordered all girls to cover both heads and faces, Umm Abrar said. Girls submit to the regulations only under threat of punishment and therefore when they are outside school grounds they remove the covering, she added. out the full article Filed under: Islam

As a muslim who grew up in Egypt and now lives in Europe I find the whole interpretation of muslim law by the saudi muftis a disgrace to all what I hold dear about my religion. I remember the very devout teacher in Cairo who once told us : it is your choice, because Islam makes you as a person responsible for your actions and nobody can take this responsibiliy from you.

If I go without a veil, it is my decision, maybe my mistake, and at the end I will be held responsible. Better to make a choice than to CURSE every time you are FORCED to put on a Hijab. from:http://Bruidsmeisjes.zoekvinden.nl

So these are the images and the fabrics that I have that I thought would be good for this style of dress. The fabrics are all a mid-tone mauve jacquard, moire, satin, and a lovely warm black cotton velvet. The gold and black lace fabric Is very fun with it, but more appropriate for an Edwardian styled guimpe. I used a little of Here is another picture of the fabric I have. I had a really hard time getting the color do look correct, but I think this one is closest.

The magnifiscent dress from the MET I would do a little differently. I would do the bodice, the apron, and the back of the overskirt in the velvet.
